The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is available starting yesterday on Xbox and PC and the first problems have already arrived. As reported by Dexerto, in fact, some players who used the sniper rifle were able to see the opponents through the blankets of smoke unleashed by the explosions of the grenades.
“There is currently a glitch that allows those who use the rifle as a sniper to see through the smoke ”, reads the chirping launched during the Italian night. The FTAC Recon has become one of the best battle rifles to use in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It’s a hard-hitting weapon and despite it being marketed as a marksman gun, there are a lot of ways to shape it. To do this, however, you need to know the Modern Warfare 2 FTAC Recon best loadout.
With all the new Gunsmith features present in Modern Warfare 2, there are a lot of ways to shape your weapons. This allows you to build a great FTAC Recon setup that focuses on holding down and overwatching areas of the map to prevent enemy movement.

Our first pick is always going to be an optic and this time it’s the Cronen Mini Red Dot. A sight is almost a prerequisite for a battle rifle and the Cronen Mini Red Dot provides a clearer and more precise aiming solution than iron sights, allowing you to stay on target at range when firing.
Next, we have the Demo Precision Elite Factory stock. Out of the box, the FTAC Recon has some hard-hitting and snappy recoil, which pulls you off your target and sends your rounds into the clouds. This stock mitigates a lot of this recoil and allows you to make follow-up shots quickly and accurately.
We recommend the Bull Rider 16.5 Barrel for use on the FTAC Recon. Seeing as you’ll be in an overwatch position, this allows you to effectively support your team and provide them with information.
Ghost is an ultimate perk that makes you undetectable by UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors. Once you’ve picked off a few enemies, they’ll likely be trying to locate you. Your main goal should be to stay off their radar, and this perk does just that by keeping you undetectable, just make sure you move around a little to keep yourself off that radar.
We recommend taking the Drill Charge as your lethal option because it allows you to launch grenades through walls and eliminate enemies in rooms without ever seeing them. It is currently one of the best lethals to use. Similarly, we recommend taking the Sun Grenade as your tactical option because it disorients enemies and slows their aiming. This is useful when used defensively as enemies cannot rush you.
Lastly, for your Field Upgrade, you should take a Trophy System. Set this up wherever you make your sniper nest and when enemies try to use grenades against you, the Trophy System will nullify them.
