Dying Light 2: mod also coming to consoles? Techland tries

Dying Light 2

Techland recently published a Q&A with the Dying Light 2 community (found available on Amazon). The host of this question session was Tymon Smektala, one of the Techland leads who worked on the development of the game. During the discussion on the official Discord channel a lot of information emerged regarding the future of the title and, in particular, the support of the mods.

Future additions for Dying Light 2, however, don't stop at mods. The title, in fact, will add a highly anticipated feature by players. With the new DLC, in fact, Techland is also working on the introduction of the much requested PvP. Initially, players will have a classic online cooperative at their disposal, but Smektala does not rule out the arrival of an arena mode. According to the developer, many events and possibilities will be added in the future but will be strongly influenced by the will of the players.

Finally, we remind you that the updates of Dying Light 2 will arrive in preparation of Bloody Ties, the new DLC of the game . Initially scheduled for October 13, the content was then postponed by Techland and should be released on November 13, 2022. The studio seems to have clear ideas about the future of its post-apocalyptic series and is now close to the arrival of this new content. | ); }

Dying Light 2 story DLC delayed until after spooky season

Bloody Ties, Dying Light 2’s first story DLC, is delayed until Nov. 10, 2022, Techland announced in a post on Twitter. The Techland team originally planned to release the zombie horror game’s first major expansion on Oct. 15, 2022, but decided to delay it until Nov. 10, 2022, so the team had more time to work on bugs and resolve other issues.

When it does launch, Bloody Ties will add a brand-new arena to the city of Villedor, where players compete as Aiden in a series of bloodsoaked tournaments, but fame and glory aren’t the only rewards. While Bloody Ties is a combat-oriented expansion, Techland promises the arena has more bubbling under the surface aside from adrenaline and broken bones.

Villedor’s arena is home to a dark secret, and Aiden’s only chance at unraveling the tangled web of death and opulence is playing along and completing a set of brutal challenges to earn the trust of those who run the show.

Aiden also has the help of a new feature called the Carnage Manica. Techland is keeping details about this new creation under wraps, but promises it will make combat more creative than ever.

Techland previously released a Bloody Ties trailer, which you can check out below.

Dying Light 2 launched in a rough state, with quest bugs that prohibited players from progressing, combat and artificial intelligence issues, and some graphical issues as well, so it comes as no surprise that Techland wants to ensure the same thing doesn’t happen with Bloody Ties.

It’s not the only horror game getting delayed either. Sons of the Forest 2 was originally meant to release in the same month and will now launch in 2023 instead.
