Assassin's Creed Mirage will not have sections in modern times

Assassin's Creed Mirage will not have sections in modern times. This was confirmed by Sarah Beaulieu, the game's narrative director, talking about the return to the origins of the game, that is, her desire to resume the formula of the original Assassin's Creed.

The sections in modern times have been present since the first Assassin's Creed and the Animus will be there, but only at the beginning of the game, as explained by Beaulieu: "So I can tell you that even if there will be an access to the Animus at the beginning of Mirage, there will be nothing in the present."

Technically this absence is justified by the ending of Assassin's Creed Valhalla and by the story of Basim in the same, but the reference to the Animus still opens up several possibilities, which we will see how they will be managed.

On the other hand, Assassin's Creed Mirage appears more and more like an interlocutory chapter, whose characteristics have been cut out to create an experience as faithful as possible to the original titles, waiting for a return to the role-playing game that will happen with Assassin's Creed: Codename Red.

Before leaving we remind you that Assassin's Creed Mirage will be launched in 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and Amazon Luna.
