With a plastic frame with aluminum bottom and 87 buttons in pbt (polybutylene terephthalate) the basic versions of the Drop keyboards dedicated to Lord of the Rings offer the Gateron Yellow as a type of switch (the switch is the mechanism under the caps that registers the pressure and sends the signal to the computer), but for those looking for higher performance and a more accurate feeling there is also the possibility to switch to the Holy Panda X switches (with a surcharge of about 35 euros). The two keyboards - which have received the official license of the saga - have the same design, differing only in colors and in the alphabet that makes up the layout: the model with Cirth for the Khuzdul language is characterized by shades of gray and orange while the one with Tengwar for the Sindarin language is in shades of green.

Drop The starting kit called Training ("training") is designed for language learning and has the transcription in the Latin alphabet, while for those who want to go further there is the Hardcore kit, dedicated to fans eager to communicate in elven or dwarven like a true native speaker. The selling price of the two keyboards is the same, 199 dollars, discounted to 169 dollars for the launch. In the package you will find the USB cable, the tool to replace the key caps passing from those for learning to those without transcription and the carrying case in decorated anodized aluminum. The Drop promotion on keyboards will last until August 31, just a couple of days before the debut of the new and highly anticipated Amazon Prime Video series dedicated to the world of The Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power.
