Dead Island 2: You can use Alexa to distract groups of zombies

Dead Island 2

Unveiled last night after a long wait lasting 8 years, Dead Island 2 will not be just an action RPG with the undead like so many others, far from it. As announced by Amazon following the presentation, players will be able to use Alexa, the company's voice assistant, for a series of new features. That's right, you got it right: the Dambuster Studio game integrates voice commands perfectly, without having Echo Dot at home, the Amazon device intended for the use of the virtual assistant.

As reported by Amazon, the Alexa commands will allow players to activate some very interesting features. In Dead Island 2, voice commands work as a navigator to reach a certain place or to distract the hordes of zombies that are about to hit you. We are quite sure that there are also other functions, but it is probably still early to discover them. The inclusion of this feature is also just the beginning: over the next few years, Alexa's voice commands will be available in further games, although obviously Amazon cannot announce anything about it at the moment.| ); }
Unveiled last night, Dead Island 2 will be available starting February 3, 2023. The game will debut on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC (via Epic Games Store). What Is Dead Island 2?

    Dead Island 2 is a sequel to the 2011 game Dead Island. It was first announced back in 2014 with an extremely cool CGI trailer, and then news of the game went radio silent until, essentially, now.

    The game takes place in Los Angeles (hence the “HELL-A” edition) during a zombie apocalypse. You choose one of six characters to play as, and then you work your way through an open-world environment filled with hordes of the undead. It can be played solo or with up to two co-op partners.

    One of the defining features of the original was its up-close gory kills, and those remain fully intact in this sequel. You accrue a wide array of weapons with which to bash in zombie faces. You can check out our Dead Island 2 hands-on preview for more details about what to expect.
