Renault Arkana, white or black to reduce delivery times

Renault Arkana

Hard times for car manufacturers, we have been repeating this for months now: the whole industry is going through a difficult time globally, and car manufacturers are no less - amidst the semiconductor crisis, the production difficulties linked to Covid and various lockdowns around the world and for some months now also the war in Ukraine, producing cars is becoming more and more difficult. For its part, Renault has taken a drastic but very functional decision: the Arkana SUV is now only available in 3 colors, white, black and gray, in order to reduce delivery times. Obviously this is a decision resulting from the moment of crisis and we will return to normal as soon as possible, but it is not the first example of car simplification that we have seen in recent months; Contrary to what has happened in recent years, where car customization was reaching very high levels, today cars are once again a little more essential and more similar to each other, so as to simplify production and therefore speed it up.| ); }
After years in which the industry had moved towards a very meticulous level of customization and choice of options, the famous words of Henry Ford at the time of the Model T return to have importance and value: "Our customers can have the car of any color, as long as that color is black. "
