Crossover film between RWBY and the Justice League announced

The 3D computer graphic animated web series RWBY, conceived and directed by Monty Oum, continues to live in an animated film heralded as a crossover between the team of four Slayers - Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang - and the Justice League. This was revealed by Rooster Teeth, during a panel of his at the RTX 2022 convention in Austin. The new film, still untitled and due out in 2023, is produced by Rooster Teeth Productions, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The executive production of the crossover film is instead entrusted to the team that so far has dealt with the RWBY web series, whose protagonists will finally meet the Justice League on the screen.

The animated crossover, as reported by cbr.com, will be set in the world of Remnant, in continuity with the RWBY / Justice League comic miniseries, which premiered in 2021 and concerning the DC Universe (it is not canon). The story told, however, will be completely new. The original RWBY / Justice League comic was written by Marguerite Bennett and features artwork by Aneke. The series - we remember - saw Team RWBY face a brand new Grimm, coming across reinvented versions of Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne and Diana Price.
