Another great franchise is preparing to return to the pages of Marvel comics. In fact, the new series set in the world of The Planet of the Apes was recently announced, one of the flagship sagas of Fox, now passed into the hands of Disney.
This is a real return to basics as Marvel had already released themed stories in the 1970s. Announced with a new teaser art by Salvador Larroca, the new Planet of the Apes license will include the release of "comic titles, collections and reprints".
Given the success of the Planet of the Apes franchise on the big screen, Disney has named it a top priority for the future along with Avatar for the 20th Century Studios brand. Wes Ball (Maze Runner) will manage what will effectively be a new reboot.
