Several days after the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, we still continue to talk about many of the games announced last Sunday. There have been great surprises, and among unexpected news and important confirmations we can definitively say that the next few months of Xbox will be rich in quality and variety. Although Starfield has become the protagonist of the conference, it is once again Minecraft that has attracted the most attention.



Now that the event has concluded and several days have passed, we can go and see which games were presented that were able to attract the attention of the players the most. According to the views that have grinded the new trailers on YouTube, we can see which titles are in vogue at the moment, and although Starfield continues to be one of the most talked about, its long gameplay footage is not the most watched among those shown during the showcase.

These are just some of the games that were shown during the Xbox showcase and Bethesda. The event was able to convince, but we know that the Microsoft gaming brand still has a lot more meat on the fire that makes the line up of games coming out one of the most colossal for a gaming company.





Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022: Everything Announced and Revealed

The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase was the boatload of game announcements we hoped for. From an extensive breakdown of Starfall, a long look at Forza Motorsport, and extended Redfall gameplay, we got everything we wanted. There were also another almost three dozen games announced during Microsoft's hour long showcase, read on to catch up with all the announcements. And be sure to stick around for Xbox and Bethesda Games Extended Showcase next week, which we'll also be covering as part of IGN's Summer of Gaming.

Highlights From the Xbox and Bethesda Games ShowcaseRedfall

Redfall is finally making it’s second appearance at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. This time we got a gameplay trailer featuring Layla and her telekinetic abilities and spectral elevators. We also got a comprehensive look at the island where the game will take place.


The trailer also outlined all the abilities of the characters in Red Fall. Jacob has a deadeye-like ability from Red Dead Redemption 2, plus an invisibility cloak and a spectral crow that can fly at enemies. Remi de la Rosa is an engineer with a robot companion equipped with a vampire-killing machine gun. Next, Devinder offers extensive knowledge of vampires and brings macgyvered equipment to ensnare enemies.

Hollow Knight Silksong

Hollow Knight Silksong was announced as a day one Xbox Game Pass release at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. The Hollow Knight sequel follows a new main character named Hornet as they explore a far away kingdom from the original game. The trailer showed more of the game’s frenetic combat and Metrovania-styled exploration.

High on Life

High on Life is the upcoming FPS game from the Rick and Morty creators. From the trailer it looks like we can expect a ton of jokes and strange guns, grenades, and other tools that talk back to you too.

Riot Games

Microsoft announced Riot Games’ biggest titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. We save a sizzle reel trailer of games coming to the service will include League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Valorant, Legends of Runterra, and Teamfight Tactics. Now while these games are technically free-to-play, locked agents, cards, and champions will become free purchases when it arrive to Xbox Game Pass.

A Plague’s Tale: Requiem

Today we also got a new, longer gameplay trailer of A Plague’s Tale: Requiem. From the trailer it’s clear the story will take a darker turn as, our protagonist, Amicia de Rune becomes crueler and more aggressive about killing her enemies.

Forza Motorsport

The next Forza Motorsport finally got a gameplay trailer showing off the new level of realistic graphics the game will debut. The game is confirmed to feature ray tracing and more realistic damage to cars as they rub against each other and the track. The trailer also revealed quite a few new cars including a race-ready golf cart.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator is celebrating its 40th Anniversary with the addition of a ton of new aircraft including gliders and helicopters.


Additionally, Xbox announced Halo-themed vehicles are coming to the game today and players will be able to fly the USNC Pelican.

Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 was announced as a 2022 October release at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. The new gameplay trailer also gave us a look at all the new looks of the characters. Additionally, we met Overwatch’s newest character, the Junker Queen, who is a gladiatorial warrior from the badlands that uses a lever-action shotgun and a large axe. Overwatch 2 Early Access begins on October 4, 2022.

Ara History Untold

Announced just a few days before, Ara History Untold is a turn-based, historical grand strategy game. It’ll be available on day one on Windows PC with PC Game Pass though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle

Elder Scrolls Online's High Isle expansion will release on June 21.

Fallout 76: The Pitt

The Pitt, a classic Fallout 3 location will be coming to Fallout 76 this September.

Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC

Forza Horizon 5 is getting a Hot Wheels DLC. Similar to the Hot Wheels expansion from Forza Horizon 3 and Hot Wheels Unleashed, this expansion will feature tracks with winding paths, vertical turns, and loop-the-loops, plus a ton of hot wheels toy cars. The Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC releases this July.

Ark 2

Ark 2 got another reveal trailer and it’s now dated to release next year in 2023, a bit delayed from its original 2022 release date from last year's reveal. It was also confirmed to be released on Day One on Game Pass.

Scorn

We got a first look trailer at the extremely graphic and wet gameplay of Scorn. The H.R. Giger-inspired world features plenty of fleshy gore with every surface and character being made of bloody skin, organs, and bones. Scorn was also announced to release on October 21, 2022 and it’ll be available Day One on Game Pass.

Flintlock: the Siege of Dawn

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a third-person action RPG in which you wield both guns and melee weapons. It will release in early 2023 and it’s available Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

Minecraft Legends

Minecraft Legends is a new action strategy game coming to Xbox and PC next year in 2023. From the gameplay trailer it seems you'll be leading a minions, from sheep to creepers against an invading hordes of Piglin from the Nether. Mojang’s newest project will be released on Game Pass Day One.

Lightyear Frontier

Lightyear Frontier is a mech exploration and farming game sort of like Stardew Valley with a giant mechanical suit. It's a non-violent game where you'll be exploring distant planets and building farms on them. The game also features co-operative play with up to three friends. It’ll release in Spring 2023 as a Day One on Game Pass.

Gunfire Reborn

Gunfire Reborn a shoot-em-up roguelike that will release in October 2022

The Last Case of Benedict Fox

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is a new story focused Metroidvania game with a gothic art style. The trailer showed how gameplay will revolve around entering the consciousness of a dead person and supernatural abilities. It releases Spring 2023 and it’s confirmed to be Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

As Dusk Falls

As Dusk Falls is the first game from INTERIOR/NIGHT. It features rotoscoped graphics and it'll be an interactive drama playable with up to eight. It releases on July 19 and it releases on Xbox Game Pass Day One.

Naraka Bladepoint

Naraka Bladepoint is coming to consoles for the first time with cross-play confirmed and a new campaign mode. Naraka Bladepoint releases on Xbox on June 23, 2022.

Pentiment

Obsidian revealed their next game Pentiment as a narrative crime story set in 16th century Bavaria. Pentiment follows Andreas Maler, a traveling artist who stops at an abbey to make an illuminated manuscript, but the story takes a turn when Andrea’s mentor is accused of murder. Now it’s your job to solve the case and apparently, it could take up to 25 years and Andreas will keep getting caught up in incidents.

Grounded

Grounded is finally leaving Early Access on September after originally being released in July 2020.

Ereban Shadow Legacy

Ereban Shadow Legacy is set to release in 2023 and it’s confirmed Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

Diablo IV

Diablo IV showed off the new necromancer class as its last new class confirmed for the game. We saw new gameplay played on an Xbox of the new character casting blood and bone spells, as well as summoning undead minions. Diablo IV will release next year with cross-play and cross-progression on PC, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and Switch.

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves announced its season 7 update is coming. The update will allow users to buy, name, and captain a ship all of their own. You’ll also be able to further customize your cabin to your liking.

Ravenlok

Ravenlok is a 2023 release that’ll come to Game Pass on Day One.


Cocoon is a new sci-fi puzzle game from Geometric Interactive and lead gameplay designer Jeppe Carlsen. Unlike Carlsen's previous works, Inside and Limbo, this new release is set in a bright sci-fi world on an alien planet. Cocoon is set for a 2023 release.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a new game from Team Ninja set in the Chinese Three Kingdoms period. The reveal trailer seems to hint that the game will mix historical and supernatural elements, including mythical creatures like dragons. It releases in early 2023 and it’s confirmed to be Day One on Xbox Game Pass.

Persona

A boat-load of Persona games are coming to Xbox including Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal. They’re confirmed to come to Game Pass but only Persona 5 has a release date, currently slated for October 21.

Hideo Kojima & Xbox Partnership

Microsoft and Hideo Kojima are working on a new game. Without revealing much of anything, Kojima simply stated that “This is a game I always wanted to make.”

Starfield

Starfield finally got full gameplay reveal we’ve been waiting for. The game seems to feature a much more grounded space exploration experience of exploring planets, shooting enemies, mining, scanning, and digital lockpicking.


We also got a story trailer for Starfield that revealed we’ll be on the hunt for galaxy-changing alien artifacts and will have to deal with space-borne factions.


We also got a look at the extensive customization in Starfield from the character creator from traits to the skill system, customizable weapons, as well as a base and spaceship builder. And in case you were worried you would be exploring the galaxy from a map menu, the starships are completely flyable and you’ll be space dogfighting with enemies too.


As for scale, Starfield revealed it will take place in a cluster of over 100 solar systems, one of which contains nine fully explorable planets – so you'll have over a thousand planets to explore.


Starfield will release in 2023 on Xbox consoles and PC.
