US and EU blame Russia for cyberattacks against Ukraine

Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, there has been an increase in hacker attacks of various kinds, from phishing to ransomware, often related to war. From one front to the other, we have witnessed the intervention of Anonymous against various Russian targets, the seizure of Russian-origin hacker forums, but above all several attempts by Russia to hostile actions against Ukraine in the IT field.

In this very complex scenario, both the European Union and the US government have formally raised an accusation against Russia about a series of malware attacks perpetrated against public and private Ukrainian targets. The attacks involved the use of a data wiper, that is a malware that cancels or otherwise renders the data contained in a system unusable, as well as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

Russian hackers have perpetrated several attacks against Ukraine and other countries
This is joined by the official statement of the Council of the EU:" These unacceptable cyber attacks are a further example of Russia's constant irresponsible behavior in cyberspace, which is also an integral part of 'illegitimate and unjustified invasion of Ukraine ".

The situation is therefore very tense, but we continue to hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, both on the battlefield and on the network.
