The Volkswagen Group does not focus entirely on electric and zero-emission mobility

The Volkswagen Group aims to conquer the leadership of the electric car market in the near future with many new projects on the way. Despite the investments already planned, however, the company does not intend to bet everything on the electric car sector. The transition to zero-emission mobility will, in fact, be gradual and not immediate.

The confirmation came from Herbert Diess, CEO of the Volkswagen Group who in the past had already spoken of an impossible farewell to endothermic. According to the number one of the German company, in fact, the main problem is not represented by consumer demand. The demand for electric cars by motorists is growing, respecting the estimates.




Despite the difficulties that the entire automotive industry will have to face, Volkswagen confirms that it is aiming for leadership in the electric car market worldwide. The company aims to achieve this goal by 2025 thanks to a progressive growth of its offer which includes the launch of several new models.

An updated version of the MEB platform is also on the way, which will guarantee performance better and, above all, greater autonomy for the group's electric cars. More details on Volkswagen's plans will arrive over the next few weeks. Certainly, the group intends to accelerate its investments in zero-emission mobility.
