The BMW Group closes the first quarter with record profits despite a drop in sales

The BMW Group closed a positive first quarter with electrified models supporting growth. Compared to last year, in fact, the step forward recorded by the sales of hybrid models and electric models is evident. The BMW Group, in fact, nearly 90,000 hybrids sold during the first three months of the year with an increase of + 27.7% compared to last year's figures. Also noteworthy is a notable increase in results for electric cars which rise to 35 thousand units sold with an excellent + 150%.

Among the BMW Group models that recorded the best results, we would like to point out the MINI Cooper SE. The MINI electric car has, in fact, touched 9,000 units sold, recording a clear step forward compared to almost 6,000 units last year. The BMW iX3 is also established as a reference in the range, exceeding 11,000 units sold. The company closed the quarter with 3.3 billion euros in profits, registering a growth of + 12% and exceeding analysts' estimates.
