Marvel announces Amazing Fantasy # 1000 : what is it about?
Amazing Fantasy hasn't actually reached number 1000: it is a figurative number created to celebrate Spiderman's anniversary. In any case, Marvel has decided to celebrate the occasion with a host of talents who will take care of the one-shot anthology Amazing Fantasy # 1000. Among the creators we will find Neil Gaiman, Armando Iannucci, Jonathan Hickman, Dan Slott, Ho Che Anderson, Kurt Busiek, Anthony Falcone, Rainbow Rowell, Jim Cheung, Olivier Coipel, Michael Cho and Terry Dodson. The main cover of Amazing Fantasy # 1000 was made by John Romita Jr., but there will be many other variants like the one created by Peach Momoko:
Nick Lowe said:
"It's Spider-Man's 60th anniversary and we wanted to celebrate it in style by inviting some of the greatest creative minds in the world to celebrate it!"
Amazing Spider-Man # 1000 will be published next August in the United States, but as early as next June American readers will be able to read another commemorative issue dedicated to Spider-Man!
