Vivo's foldout with dual fingerprint sensor

Vivo X Fold is the long-awaited folding smartphone of the Chinese giant and presents itself by putting on the plate a series of rather interesting features: it is the first foldable to be governed by the new generation Snapdragon 8 gen 1 chip, it makes use of the collaboration of Zeiss for the rear multi-camera and, again for the first time, adopts the solution of the double fingerprint scanner under the external and internal display. For now it is official in China, but it is more than likely that it will arrive here too soon.

We can only start from the design of the new Vivo X Fold, which mounts a plate inside the hinge zirconium that lifts when folded so as to better support the more delicate part in the center of the internal 8-inch amoled panel, not so larger than the internal one which is 6.53 ": both have a 120 Hz refresh rate, but only the largest one can change it to save on consumption. The opening movement is certified 300,000 times by TÜV Rheinland. Calculator in hand, the average daily 80 movements translate into at least 10 years of use.

The fold of Vivo X Fold

As anticipated, there are two fingerprint scanners embedded in the bottom of both screens. The main camera of Vivo X Fold is of an excellent level thanks to the collaboration with the historic brand Zeiss. The main sensor is 50 megapixel with optical stabilization, accompanied by a 48 megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 12 megapixel portrait lens, as well as an 8 megapixel periscopic zoom lens with 5x magnification. The internal selfie camera is 16 megapixel, placed inside a hole. The battery is 4600 mAh with fast charging from 66 watts (50 watts wireless) and charger included in the package of 80 watts with double USB port and of the GaN type (gallium nitride), similar to the mysterious Apple charger that appeared and then disappeared. from the store. The picture is completed by a high quality Hi-Fi chip and an advanced heat dissipation system.

For now, Vivo X Fold will debut in China at a competitive price of 8999 rmb or around 1300 euros for the basic version from 12 GB ram and 256 GB internal going up to 9999 rmb or about 1450 euros for the one that doubles the capacity. All that remains is to wait for the announcement for the rest of the world, including Italy.
