Minecraft ended up in Doom and now we don't understand anything anymore

It is usually other games that end up in Minecraft, but in the case of this particular Doom 2 mod, exactly the opposite has happened. Mojang's game, with all its peculiarities and features, is now available within the historic shooter. If you have confused ideas, don't worry: we explain everything to you.

The mod is called Voxel Violence and clearly takes inspiration from Minecraft. Voxel Violence is a very particular mod, because it adds a good part of the HUD, the terrain textures and above all the features of the Mojang game within Doom 2. If played with this mod, it could become a sort of Fortnite 2.0, although obviously it is difficult to define exactly what becomes the first person shooter. Yes, because none of the definitions that we can use or have used previously can actually convey the idea. To better understand what we are talking about it is necessary to view the long gameplay trailer, launched by the author of the mod.

Minecraft inside Doom 2 isn't the only experiment we've seen in recent months. Recently, in fact, a mod has transformed the shooter into a real action game, in Ninja Gaiden sauce. But now let's raise the bar and make an appeal: make Doom a true open world. It could be the definitive turning point. And if you want to try some mods for the most recent games, we have selected the most curious ones for Elden Ring: you can find them at this address.
