Volkswagen expects some electric models until 2023

The CFO of Volkswagen AG, Arno Antlitz, confirmed the strong interest that the Group would have registered in its electric cars, an interest that will allow not only to increase the scale of production but also the profits that are derived from it.
Some of Volkswagen's electric models, as stated by Antlitz, would already be sold out until 2023, while for the models still available there are still months of waiting list: in all the brands that are part of the group, like Audi, Porsche, Skoda and SEAT, a higher profit rate than initially expected was recorded, due to the very high demand.

In 2021 alone, the group sold 762,400 electric plug-type models -in, of which almost half a million - 452,900 to be precise - 100% electric; this is an increase of 95.5% compared to the previous year, which is certainly not a surprising figure considering that the previous year Volkswagen barely had any electric models in the catalog, but it still shows that there is a good slice of the market interested to electric mobility.

Even before the war the waiting lists were substantial, but with the worsening of the situation in Ukraine times will only get longer.
