The Batman composer will direct Marvel's Werewolf by Night

New commitment for Michael Giacchino, fresh from the great success of The Batman, due in large part to his soundtrack. The composer of Matt Reeves' film will direct Werewolf by Night, the Marvel Studios special and comic-oriented character created by Gerry Conway and Mike Plogg in 1972.

The news came from The Hollywood Reporter, which also speculated a possible launch window for the show: autumn 2022, in time for Halloween. Marvel would set their sights on Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle) for the lead role.

Laura Donnelly will also be part of the cast: there is no official news yet on which character she will play, but if Garcia Bernal is Jack Russell / Werewolf by Night, the actress will most likely be assigned the role of Nina Price aka Vampire By Night. The series will arrive exclusively on Disney Plus.

Also according to some rumors in Werewolf by Night, Mahersala Ali's Blade should make its first appearance, so far only appeared with a vocal cameo in the post-credits scene of Eternals.
