LG launches its first 48 ″ OLED gaming monitor

Despite being quite widely used in the field of smart TVs, OLED panels are struggling to take off in the PC world. We have seen a few notebooks or monitors using this technology, but there are still quite a few models. LG, now an industry veteran, recently unveiled its new UltraGear 48GQ900 gaming monitor, which is equipped with a stunning 48 ″ 4K resolution OLED display with HDR support.

Unfortunately, LG hasn't provided more detailed specs, but according to FlatPlanelsHD colleagues, the monitor should have a 1ms GtG response time and 98.5% DCI-P3 color space coverage. Finally, the device has very thin bezels, integrated speakers and some LEDs in the back.

These two models feature 1080p resolution VA panels with a static contrast of 3,000: 1, 250 nits of brightness and 165Hz refresh rate. As for the inputs, there are two HDMI and a DisplayPort, while on the front of the supported technologies AMD Freesync Premium and 1ms Motion Blur Reduction are mentioned. Again, the manufacturer has not specified prices, but both models should be available this month.
