Gran Turismo 7 removed from the Russian PS Store

Sony has removed Gran Turismo 7 from the Russian PlayStation Store. The driving game is currently not available for purchase from that region and the expected release date is listed as "TBD".

We remind you that the release date of Gran Turismo 7 is today, March 4, 2022. The game guide should be available in every store, but in Russia this is not the case. According to Eurogamer.net, the change took place overnight. However, there have not yet been any official statements on the matter and Sony PlayStation has not responded to requests for information.

Gran Turismo 7 For the moment it is therefore impossible to know the real reason for this choice, but it is clearly difficult not to think which is, in one way or another, related to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. We will have to wait for an official statement from Sony to confirm what is happening.

Various exponents of the videogame world (and not, of course) have decided to take various measures against Russia, such as CD Projekt that has completely blocked all types of sales in the region and also in Belarus.

EA has also declared itself against Russia: the Russian national team and clubs of FIFA 22 have in fact been removed.

Gran Turismo 7’s Release Has Been Pulled In Russia By Sony

Sony Interactive Entertainment has pulled the release of Gran Turismo 7 on PS4 and PS5 in Russia, with no new date currently in sight.

The Polyphony Digital-developed racer is out today in the US, Europe, UK, and other major regions, although Russian markets will have to wait. The PlayStation Store listing for the game now simply reads, “Release date pending confirmation.”

Sony’s decision to postpone the release of GT7 in Russia comes after the Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine urged platform holders to temporarily halt operations in Russian and Belarusian markets, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier today, it was reported that CD Projekt RED has pulled the sale of its games in those regions, while EA has removed Russian teams from FIFA 22 and NHL 22.
