Ferrari Purosangue is almost ready to show itself to the world in its final form, but in the meantime we can enjoy the renderings made following the photographs leaked online a few weeks ago from the Ferrari production line: in this case we show you the renderings made by Motor1, which talks about the Ferrari Purosangue as a 'FUV', 'Ferrari Utility Vehicle', playing on words with the acronym SUV, to underline how it is a particular and unique project, especially for the Prancing Horse house.Ferrari Purosangue joins an increasingly large group of SUVs that have tried to give some of that sporting soul back to a range of vehicles that has the word 'Sport' as the first element of the name: Bentley Bentayga Speed , Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and soon also Ferrari Purosangue will be able to show off on our streets.
As for the engines, we already know that Ferrari will offer the Purosangue with at least 2 different engines, both hybrids, both positioned in the front central part of the platform: it is very likely that they are V6 and V8, combined with a dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system, but some hope to find us under a V12.
Ferrari Purosangue SUV Resumes Testing In Full Disguise After Internet-Melting Factory Leak
Fresh from the shock of being outed in leaked images from the Maranello factory, Ferrari’s Pursonague SUV is back on the testing trail.
Ferrari’s SUV prototypes had only recently switched from Maserati Levante-based mules to cars featuring the real bodywork when the leaked images gave us a sneaky look at the front and rear styling of the luxury crossover.
But with at least a year to go until the Purosangue lands in showrooms, there’s still plenty of testing to do, and this week our spy photographers spotted one particular prototype being put through its winter paces.

Unfortunately, Ferrari hasn’t seen last month’s leak as reason enough to ditch the disguise, so these images show less detail than the ones that got Ferrari, and its lawyers. But these latest spy shots do show us the whole Purosangue in one frame, which the leaked pictures didn’t. And that means only these prototype shots show just how long and low Ferrari’s first five-door really is. Though it’s often referred to as an SUV, or at least it is outside of Maranello, which calls it a Ferrari Utility Vehicle (FUV), it’s more of a high-riding wagon in the vein of a Porsche Panamera Cross Turismo with a lift kit.
Though the rear camouflage suggests an upright, squared tail, we know from the leaked images and previous spy shots that the finished car will have a sporty fastback rear end. The flanks will feature a pinched waist and typical crossover-style arch extensions, while the nose has a slim LED strip at either side, and a hood line that appears to be designed to evoke memories of the classic 365 GTB/4 Daytona coupe of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Under that hood, we hope to see a V12 engine, along with hybrid V6 and V8 powertrains from the 296 GTB and SF90 Stradale. And we expect most, if not all Purosangues to feature all-wheel drive to help deliver more than 800 hp (811 PS) to the street, or dirt track.
