Ducati Futa, the first racing e-bike from Borgo Panigale

Ducati Futa

Ducati continues to diversify its offer and does so once again with a new electrified two-wheeled vehicle: this time we are talking about an e-bike, called Futa, and it is the first electric racing bicycle offered by the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. The new racing bike was named in honor of one of the most famous passes of the Apennines and right next to the Ducati headquarters, an almost cult place for Italian motorcyclists.

The new Ducati Futa is based on a carbon fiber frame designed for long distances, without however losing sight of the aerodynamic aspect, essential for reaching high speeds. The heart of Ducati Futa is a 250 W electric motor, positioned on the rear wheel hub, capable of releasing 24 Nm of torque and taking the bicycle up to 25 km / h of speed, beyond which you can only rely on on their own legs. The battery is 250 Wh, weighs just under 4kg, and can be doubled to improve range, while the gearbox is a FSA K-Force WE 2 × 12 with wireless control.

In the configuration with frame in size M and a single 250 Wh battery, the new Ducati Futa weighs 12.4 kg, and manages to keep the weight low thanks to Vision AGX30 carbon rims, adjustable levers in carbon, and carbon cranks: in short, where you can save weight by using carbon fiber, it has been done, and the price obviously suffers. Ducati Futa starts at € 7,690 and can go up to € 11,990 in its limited edition of 50 numbered pieces, embellished with the Ducati Corse livery and an even richer technical equipment, thanks to the Campagnolo Super Record EPS electronic groupset, the Vision Metron handlebar. in carbon fiber and many other modifications.
