This comes from the development studio Niantic on the occasion of the company's anniversary. However, you should hurry: The present will be available until 5:00 p.m. German time this afternoon, after which it will disappear from the in-game shop.But what kind of present is it actually? What else is on the program for October?
Incidentally, this is just the beginning of a whole series of events that await you at Pokémon GO during October. On October 15th, for example, the starting gun will be given for a large-scale Halloween campaign that will run until October 31st. You will meet a variety of costumed pocket monsters. In addition, thematically appropriate special research is on the program, which will revolve around the horror festival. The Pokémon GO Championship Series will officially take place in 2022
Niantic has just announced that the first ever Pokémon GO Championship Series is coming in 2022. This will give trainers all around the globe a chance to battle each other to discover the best of the best. The winners will also be given the opportunity to participate in the Invitational 2022 Pokémon World Championships.
The first iteration of the Pokémon GO Championship Series will feature regional and international championships. The top Pokémon GO players from these tournaments will earn an invitation to the coveted 2022 Pokémon GO Championship Series.
There will be two age brackets for the contest:
Registration will occur in two phases. Trainers achieving Legend Rank in the ongoing Pokémon GO Battle League season will be allowed to register earlier than the rest, during the first few months of 2022. After the closure of this window, the remaining spots can be occupied by everyone else. The current GO Battle Season will run until November 29th, so players have until then to achieve Legend Rank. The second batch of entrants into the championship will happen in the next Pokémon GO Battle Season.
Every participant registering for the Pokémon GO Championship Series will need to link their Pokémon GO account to their Pokémon Trainer Club Account. They must also have a Play! Pokémon Player ID or make one if they don’t, and opt in the Play! Terms of Use.
Currently, not much is known about the format or prize distribution for the tournament but all the necessary information will be available on the official Play! Pokémon website.
