Cillian Murphy will be featured in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, the biopic about Julius Robert Oppenheimer. Universal, which won the project in September and caused a stir as it is Nolan's first film not to be made with the studio he has worked with for years, Warner Bros., recently announced some interesting details about the film. br>

J. Robert Oppenheimer, American theoretical physicist, is considered one of the fathers of the atomic bomb, which he helped develop during the Second World War. The project is based on the 2005 Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Nolan is writing the script for the film and will of course direct it, while his wife Emma Thomas and Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment will produce it.

Cillian Murphy worked with Nolan in 2005's Batman Begins, in which the actor played the villain Scarecrow. He subsequently appeared in the rest of the Batman trilogy, as well as in Inception and Dunkirk. However, this will be his first time in the lead role of a Nolan film.

Production of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer will begin in early 2022 and the director is already availing himself of the collaboration of some well-known professionals of the industry, including director of photography Hoyte Van Hoytema, who worked with him on Tenet, Dunkirk and Interstellar, editor Jennifer Lame and composer Ludwig Göransson, who worked on Tenet.
