Xiaomi announces an event in September

About a month after the last event held exclusively for the Chinese market, Xiaomi has learned to put on a show again. Mark the date on your calendar, September 15 will be the day of the Chinese brand and we expect some succulent news.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi seems unstoppable, the speed with which it presents new products on the market is overwhelming and not signs of diminishing. The brand led by Lei Jun does not want you to make any commitments for next September 15th, the day in which it will announce "some very exciting new products".

The new event will therefore be held about a month after the announcement official for the Chinese market of the new top of the range Xiaomi MIX 4 and of the two highly anticipated tablets that aim to conquer because of their excellent quality / price ratio, Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro.

It is therefore very likely that during the streaming the official availability of the latest products will also be announced for the global market or new products could be unveiled.

In September of last year, the brand officially announced Xiaomi Mi 10T, It would therefore not be strange if the time had come for the new generation of smartphones that for now we will call Xiaomi Mi 11T waiting for more certain news.

While the Xiaomi Mi 10T was equipped with a 144Hz LCD display last year, it seems ch and Xiaomi wants to switch to a 120Hz OLED screen for the Mi 11T. A recent spec leak also suggests that the Mi 11T will be equipped with a MediaTek chip and a 64MP rear camera along with two other lenses. Mi 11T Pro is also expected to be announced, but its specifications have not yet leaked.

The livestream will officially start at 8:00 PM GMT + 8 (14:00 Italian time) on Wednesday 15 September and will last around 70 minutes according to what was communicated by Xiaomi itself.

TL;DR

  • Xiaomi has announced a launch event for September 15.
  • We’re guessing that the company will launch the Mi 11T series on the day.
  • Xiaomi has offered plenty of gadgets this year already, such as its numerous Mi 11 devices, the Redmi Note 10 family, its long-overdue Mi Pad 5 tablets, and a ton of smart home products. Now, the company has announced that it’s holding yet another launch next month.

The manufacturer revealed a September 15 date for a new product launch, although it didn’t give any clues in its Twitter post. Check out the image below.

We’re guessing that the oft-rumored Mi 11T series will debut at the event at the very least. This will be the latest in Xiaomi’s relatively new T series of phones. 2019 marked the debut of the Mi T series, namely the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro, being rebranded Redmi K20 series phones. Xiaomi then delivered the Mi 10T family last year, in the form of the Mi 10T Lite, Mi 10T, and Mi 10T Pro.

If the Mi 11T series is anything like the Mi 10T family, then we’re expecting vanilla, Lite, and Pro models too. Rumors also point to the vanilla and Pro phones gaining 120Hz displays, a Dimensity 1200 chipset for the vanilla device, and a Snapdragon 888 SoC for the Pro variant.

What else could Xiaomi potentially have up its sleeve? Well, it’s believed that the firm is readying a second foldable phone, but this is apparently tipped to arrive in Q4. We wouldn’t count out any smart home products though, especially as the firm is also set to hold its Smarter Living 2022 event on August 26 in India.
