Will Hades have a sequel? Supergiant Games claims they have no idea

One of the best games of last year was for sure Hades, the newest game from Supergiant Games, well-known authors of Bastion, Transistor and Pyre. The success of the rogue-lite was immense, certainly superior to the previous titles of the Californian team. Can we therefore expect a sequel? Supergiant Games claims he has no idea.

Interviewed by NME, Greg Kasavin of Supergiant Games says "We have no idea" when asked if Hades will be a self-concluding work like the previous games. "In the past we never had any idea what would come next. We never plan our next game until we finish what we're working on. And I think part of the reason is that there's a little superstition about it in our own. team, because we want to make sure we're fully committed to the thing we're working on instead of, you know, selling the bear's skin before killing it. "

Supergiant Games, in fact, isn't working on it yet. a new title as it is finishing work on the Xbox and PlayStation versions of Hades. The game was released on PC and Nintendo Switch initially. Regardless of what the project will be, Kasavin says the next game will be somewhat inspired by Hades, just as Hades was inspired by his predecessor, Pyre. Kavasin confirms that Supergiant does not completely start over with every project, but keeps what worked and builds on it more.

Hades Kavasin also adds that Supergiant Games definitely wants to remain a united team and wants to continue to create games for as long as possible and, "as long as we have such a generous audience that appreciates our work," it will be possible.

We remind you that Hades will be available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S from August 13th. On the same day it will also be released on Xbox Game Pass. The PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions offer 4K and 60 FPS, while on Xbox One and PS4 we can expect 1080p and 60 FPS.
