Final Fantasy XIV: The Rising event celebrates the eighth anniversary of A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV is preparing to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the launch of A Realm Reborn, a real restart of the MMO that took place on August 27, 2013, with The Rising.

The event will open its doors precisely on Friday 27 August eight years after the reopening of the servers. For the uninitiated, Final Fantasy XIV was launched in 2010, but the numerous technical problems and the lack of content convinced Square Enix to take the courageous decision to move the game to a new engine, practically rebuilding it from the ground up, under the direction by Naoki Yoshida. The servers of the original version were therefore closed in September 2012, causing the Dalamud moon to fall on Eorzea and thus unleashing the events that are the background to A Realm Reborn.

The Rising will propose a new mission, which can be accepted and completed only between 27 August and 9 September, which, as every year, will pay homage to the fallen during the Seventh Umbral Calamity. The mission can be faced by all players who have reached at least level 15, by talking to the NPC Kipih Jakkya in the Steps of Nald area of Ul'dah. Completing it you will receive the Red Moon parasol and Nymeia Potpurry fireworks, which you can see in the image below.
