As if that wasn't enough, actor Barry Keoghan, who was cast as Yorick in 2018, also walked away due to artistic differences in 2020 only to be quickly replaced by Ben Schnetzer.

Only in the last month, that is, in June, FX and Hulu finally announced that Y: The Last Man would be premiered on September 13th. We just have to wait for further news. While waiting, we invite you to retrieve the comics on Amazon to discover all the adventures of Yorick Brown and his faithful travel companion.

Y: The Last Man teaser explains the basics of the story

Hulu has shared a Y: The Last Man teaser that gives everyone the basic premise of the series.

Imagine you wake up one morning and discover that you and your pet monkey are the last males on Earth. That is exactly the premise of the upcoming Hulu series based on the DC comic series of the same name.

The comic series has kicked around Hollywood since at least 2015 and has had multiple starts and stops along the way.

The last major issue was a change in the lead actor after Barry Keoghan had dropped out of the production in Feb. 2020. He was later replaced with Ben Schnetzer in March of the same year.

The series will also star Diane Lane as Senator Jennifer Brown, Imogen Poots as Hero Brown, Latasha Lynch as Agent 355, Juliana Canfield as Beth, Marin Ireland as Nora, Amber Tamblyn as Mariette Callows, and Timothy Hutton as the U.S. President.

Y: The Last Man was scheduled to debut in 2020, but was delayed due to the reshoots needed on the pilot episode as well as the pandemic. The series will now debut on Sept. 13.
