Amazon Prime recently announced at Comic-Con @ Home that its next highly anticipated fantasy series The Wheel of Time will officially debut in November 2021. A poster showing Rosamund Pike as Moiraine, the show's lead, was also shared. >
The series is inspired by Robert Jordan's famous fantasy novels, whose story is set in a fantasy world where magic exists, but only some women can access it. The tale follows Moiraine (Pike), a member of a magical, dark and influential all-female organization who guides five young men on a journey around the world. In the group, however, there is also a mysterious individual who is said to be the Dragon Reborn (Josha Stradowski), a powerful individual who will save humanity or destroy it.

The series also features Josha Stradowski as Rand al'Thor, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve, Sophie Okonedo as Siuan Sanche and Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon. Last, but not least, are Madeleine Madden who will play the role of Egwene Al'Vere, Kae Alexander as Min Farshaw, Miguel Alvarez as the King of Ghealdan, Naana Agyei Ampadu as Danya, Daniel Henney as al ' Lan Mandragoran and Michael McElhatton will play Tam Al'Thor.

These are still some of the names that will be part of the great cast of The Wheel of Time from Amazon Prime Studios. Rafe Judkins and Uta Briesewitz are the showrunners on the show with Briesewitz also directing the first two episodes. We recall that The Wheel of Time is a work characterized by the presence of 14 volumes which have sold over 90 million copies internationally, making it the best-selling fantasy series since the time of The Lord of the Rings. ‘The Wheel of Time’ to Debut on Amazon Prime Video in November (Comic-Con Roundup)

Amazon Prime Video announced that upcoming fantasy series “The Wheel of Time” will debut in November.


The series is adapted from Robert Jordan’s book series of the same name and stars Rosamund Pike as Moiraine, a member of a magical all-female organization who leads five young people on a journey around the world while trying to learn which one of them will fulfill the prophecy of the Dragon Reborn.


“The Wheel of Time” was adapted by showrunner Rafe Judkins. Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of Red Eagle Entertainment, Mike Weber, Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe and Uta Briesewitz also serve as executive producers, with Briesewitz set to direct the first two episodes. Pike will serves as producer and Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson serve as consulting producers. “The Wheel of Time” is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

Amazon also announced that teen horror series “I Know What You Did Last Summer” will premiere in October. Based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel of the same name, the series is the story of a group of teenagers being stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night. Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck star. Gary Tieche executive produces.


Paramount Plus announced a premiere date of Sept. 16 for adult animated series “The Harper House.” The comedy will follow a small town Arkansas family displaced to their spooky, inherited Victorian home after the mother and breadwinner loses her job. The home is a major fixer-upper, and the trailer sees members of the family happen upon hissing creatures in the basement and a dead woman in bed next to her sex toys. Starring Rhea Seehorn, Jason Lee and Ryan Flynn, “The Harper House” is executive produced by Katie Krentz and Brad Neely, who is also the creator. Brian Sheesley serves as supervising director. Amazon released a trailer for “S.O.Z. Soldiers or Zombies,” a Mexican zombie apocalypse series premiering on Aug. 6. The eight-episode first season will follow a drug lord who escapes from a high-security prison with his son and hides out at a remote drug rehabilitation facility until the search forces hunting him down get infected by mutant zombies. Amazon also shared never-before-seen footage from “Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time,” an anime film to premiere on the platform Aug. 13 after its Japanese theatrical release in March of this year. This is the fourth and final in the “Evangelion” series. Watch the new footage below.

IMDb TV shared a sneak peek of a “Leverage: Redemption” episode that will stream this fall. The episode, which guest stars LeVar Burton as a librarian, is the directorial debut of actress Beth Riesgraf, who stars in the show as Parker. Watch the sneak peek below.
