The Summer Time Rendering manga series by Yasuki Tanaka, published in Italy by Star Comics, will be transposed into anime. The Twitter account of the series made the announcement, which also revealed a first key visual and a release date, set for 2022. For now no further information has been provided.



Summer Time Rendering: the manga

The Summer Time Rendering manga (Samā Taimu Renda) is written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka and was serialized in Shueisha's digital magazine Shōnen Jump + on a weekly basis from 23 October 2017 to 1 February 2021. Starting from 4 November 2020, it was collected in 12 tankōbon volumes also by Shueisha, with the first volume published on 2 February 2018.

In Italy, the series was purchased by the Star Comics publishing house, which started its publication starting from June 19, 2019 with a total of 12 volumes published so far.

This is the plot:

Shinpei, who grew up on the island of Hitogashima, has lived in Tokyo since he finished middle school. But one day he receives sad news: Ushio, his great childhood friend, has suddenly disappeared in an accident at sea. Back on the island to attend her funeral, the young man, in contact with the small and closed community from which he had left, will be forced to deal with the shadows that loom over the people of the island. But mysterious circumstances will begin to emerge regarding Ushio's death, and - with the occurrence of inexplicable events - Shinpei will find himself plunged into a dark and dramatic spiral. Between twists, suspense and disturbing atmospheres, the plot of one of the most engaging comic thrillers of recent years unfolds, a story that will make you jump in your chair at every page and that even thrilled Kohei Horikoshi, the famous author of My Hero Academia!

Summer Time Rendering Anime Gets First Teaser Visual

Summer Time Rendering is an upcoming anime series based on a manga of the same name. Yasuki Tanaka, the creator of the terrific Japanese manga series, announced an anime project earlier this year alongside a live-action adaptation and the real escape game.


Ever since the announcement, fans are eagerly waiting to learn anything about the anime. Well, recently, the official website of Summer Time Rendering anime came online and revealed the anime’s teaser visual.

    Summer Time Rendering Anime Release Date Update

    Today (July 22nd, 2021), Summer Time Anime’s official Twitter account revealed the official website for the upcoming anime project. Interestingly, the website says that the anime would premiere in 2022; however, we don’t have an exact release date as of yet.


    The announcement also stated that the live-action movie is in the works, and the creators will reveal more information about it later.

    Of course, we still don’t know which animation studio would work on this project. But it’s safe to say that the teaser visual looks impressive and makes us look forward to the series premiere next year.

    Summer Time Rendering manga launched on Shonen Jump+ back in October 2017. And the series came to an end on April 2, 2021, with the 13th and final volume’s release.


    In the manga, you follow the story of Shinpei, who returns to his hometown after hearing about Ushio’s death. There, he reunites with his childhood friend’s family and attends the funeral. However, something strange and dangerous awaits him on “this secluded summer island.”
