Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Will Show "Different" Q

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Will Show Different Q

Star Trek

Fans are looking forward to the second season of Star Trek: Picard, a TV series that saw Patrick Stewart reprise the role of the legendary captain Jean-Luc Picard. The new cycle of episodes will also see the return of Q, the omnipotent being that fans of the franchise have come to know all too well over the course of the franchise, among other things. Thanks to the first trailer, it has been confirmed that actor John De Lancie will think about it once again, who has broadly explained what to expect from the character in the second season of Star Trek: Picard, as mentioned in the first trailer. >

Specifically, the actor has anticipated to TrekMovie (here the original news) that the "new" Q will not be the same that fans have come to know over the years, but a character significantly different. De Lancie also stated that after 25 years it was very easy to get back on the saddle but certainly not as it once was, which is why Picard's Q will be different, older. Patrick and De Lancie will have a nice opening scene and some sequences with Brent and Jonathan Frakes, as Q is expected to be featured in a total of six episodes.

Q's first appearance took place in the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, a television series that aired since the late 1980s, while its last appearance took place in Star Trek: Lower Decks, an animated series set aboard the USS Cerrito. In the cast of the new season of Star Trek: Picard, scheduled for next year also on Paramount + (the first is available on the Amazon Prime Video catalog), we will also find Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Jeri Ryan and Orla Brady. The first season of Picard can also be recovered in Blu-ray Disc version (special offer here).
