As announced several months ago by the Showtime broadcaster, finally Dexter Morgan is about to return! On the occasion of Comic-Con @ Home, the trailer for Dexter: New Blood, revival of the famous series starring Michael C. Hall, was shown and released during the dedicated panel. The first episode will air in America on November 7th.

Set several years after the end of the previous season, in Dexter New Blood we discover how Dexter Morgan changed his life: after leaving Miami, he now lives in the small town of Iron Lake under the pseudonym of Jim Lindsay, trying to leave behind his life as a serial killer, but not without difficulty. In fact, it seems that the main obstacle for the ex-Dexter Morgan will be Kurt Caldwell, the mayor of the town, loved and respected by all.

The new pseudonym of the protagonist would be a tribute to Jeff Lindsay, writer of The Left Hand of God and other books from which the TV series is inspired. The Dexter New Blood revival season will consist of 10 episodes in all; showrunner Clyde Philipps has already promised that its finale will blow the whole internet upside down, so we can really expect something surprising and unexpected.

The cast, as well as Michael C. Hall will consist of Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, David Magidoff, Jack Alcott, Jamie Chung, Oscar Wahlberg. Also, we will see John Lithgow and Jennifer Carpenter return.

July 26 (UPI) -- Showtime's revival of Dexter, titled Dexter: New Blood, will premiere on Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT, the network announced in a new teaser trailer.

Michael C. Hall's Dexter is trying to blend inside the small town of Iron Lake, N.Y., in the clip released on Sunday.

Dexter is struggling with his urge to kill as he begins a new life under the alias Jim Lindsay.

The serial killer works at a sporting goods store, is seeing a therapist and appears to be in a relationship.

Co-stars include Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, Jack Alcott and Clancy Brown. Showrunner Clyde Phillips is returning for the revival.

Jennifer Carpenter will be reprising her role as Deb, alongside John Lithgow as The Trinity Killer.

The original Dexter ran for eight seasons from 2006 to 2013. The series followed a blood-splatter analyst for the Miami police department who is secretly a serial killer that targets others like him.
