Assassin's Creed Infinity: New project should continue to offer great stories

Assassin's Creed Infinity

At the beginning of the month, Ubisoft presented the future of the popular series with Assassin's Creed Infinity. Instead of new games that appear every one or two years, the world is now to become a live service title. Following the example of Fortnite, fresh content is to be published at shorter intervals. These are supposed to be about large and small projects that bring players to different eras and different places.

At the investor conference, CFO Frederick Duguet spoke about the concerns of some fans that Assassin's Creed is no longer his focus will put on extensive stories. According to the person in charge, this is apparently not the case.

"We want to remain true to the DNA of [Assassin's Creed]. That also means that we bring stories of the highest quality. Regarding the project name Infinity - us have exciting plans for the future that have the potential to significantly expand the brand's reach and regularity while staying true to the legacy of Assassin's Creed with great stories. " - said CFO Frederick Duguet of Ubisoft.

There is no official information about the start of Assassin's Creed Infinity. In a report at the time - shortly before the project was announced - the earliest mention was made of 2024. To bridge the gap, Ubisoft will now support Assassin's Creed Valhalla (buy now € 49.99) with a second year full of content. Here, too, Frederick Duguet has already hinted at surprising announcements. But the CFO did not go into detail.
