Stranger Things: The New Podcast

The podcast is titled Rebel Robin: Surviving Hawkins and is written and directed by Lauren Shippen. It will be split into 6 parts and will feature Hawke and Sean Maher (the voice of Nightwing in Firefly).

Official synopsis of Rebel Robin: Surviving Hawkins reads,

Favorite teacher of Robin, Mr. Hauser, offers her his class if ever she needs a quiet place to have lunch away from the stress of school. Over the next few months, Robin and Hauser meet regularly to discuss philosophy, books, friendship, independence, and Tom Cruise's disturbing number of films in 1983. A coming-of-age story about the struggle to be different in a small town, Surviving Hawkins explores how learning to be ourselves is truly the bravest thing we can do, because it brings out the scariest monster of all: other people's judgment.

The new podcast will debut on June 29, with new episodes in a weekly preview.

A new accompanying Robin novel written by A.R. will be released on the same day. Capetta. The book, titled Rebel Robin, will give fans an insight into Robin's life before she met Steve Harrington in the third season of Stranger Things, and will follow the Hawkins High School student as she tries to raise enough money to travel to Europe to summer.
