Star Wars: Emilia Clarke is excited about the return of Qi’ra in the comics

Star Wars

After disappearing from Han Solo's life at the end of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Qi’ra is back as the star of the Marvel Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters crossover mega-event. In this regard, actress Emilia Clarke said she was very excited to see how things will go.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, in fact, the star was asked what she thought of the reintroduction of Qi 'ra in the Star Wars timeline after a long absence. These were her words:

“It really means a lot. I know her background. I know her story. Maybe the film didn't go that far, but it was truly an honor and a privilege to be part of that universe as an actress. Watching her character being brought to her roots and bringing him home to family like that, she cemented it into the story. I didn't expect to feel so moved by all this ”.

In the film Qi'ra and Han, initially, tried to escape from their condition of servitude towards the gangster Lady Proxima. Unfortunately, however, Qi’ra is arrested at the last moment. From then on, Han goes to great lengths to bring her back, until he unintentionally runs into her girlfriend, but this time with Chewbacca and Tobias Beckett while trying to talk to a Beckett Dryden Vos client. Here it turns out that Lei Qi'ra not only works for Vos, but also for the Crimson Dawn criminal corporation. Although she helped Han and Beckett to kill Vos, Qira finally decides to abandon Han in favor of Crimson Dawn and her leader Maul.

However, the ending of War of the Bounty Hunters # 1 revealed that Qi'ra was the mysterious hooded figure who stole Han's carbonite block from Boba Fett, a decision that led to Jabba the Hutt to put a bounty on Boba's head. The latter quickly realizes that Qi'ra is trying to rejuvenate Crimson Dawn and wants to sell Han to Hutt. The crossover, for that reason, will include all current Star Wars comic titles including Star Wars, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra and Bounty Hunters.
