Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart: Contents of the Day 1 update known

Ratchet & Clank

On June 11th, the promising action game Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released for the PS5. However, some interesting features will only be added with the Day 1 patch.

An update with new graphics options

The update adds a performance mode with 60 fps. There is also a Performance RT mode. With this it will be possible to switch on ray tracing without having to forego 60 fps. You will then be able to choose between three modes: Performance, Performance RT and Quality. The latter runs at 30 fps and offers the best image quality. The resolution in performance mode will be lower than in quality mode. It offers the lowest resolution in the Performance RT mode. Nevertheless, the game dynamically scales up to 4K.

Performance: 1800p Performance RT: 1440p Quality: 4K Basically, the Day 1 Patch from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart offers options similar to those of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is. You can then decide how you want to experience this game. Either very quickly and with good image quality, or with ray tracing or only with 30 fps, but with particularly high quality.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart should use the possibilities of the PS5 and not only in the graphic area. The console's fast SSD makes it possible to travel through so-called "rifts" to other levels and worlds without loading times. This is an important game element that you have to use tactically to master the levels.

As you can see, the Day 1 update of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an important update, with that you can enjoy the game the way you want.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the next PS5 exclusive coming to us courtesy of the incredibly talented folk at Insomniac Games. This time around, our dynamic duo must help save the world from an evil emperor from another reality and will meet an all-new Lombax in Rivet. The game looks set to truly make the most of the PS5’s increased horsepower and unique feature-set, too, so it’ll be a true showcase of what Sony’s new system can do. If you can’t wait to dive in, you might be wondering what the deal is with Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart preload and unlock times. Here’s what you need to know.

What the Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Preload Time & Date Is

You can preload Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart right now, with the option to pre-install the game going live on June 4. Preloading is available everywhere around the world right now, as long as you have pre-ordered the game digitally from the PlayStation Store.

It’s also been confirmed that the game’s install size comes in at around the 33gb mark. As such, make sure you’ve free’d up some space on your PS5’s SSD to make sure that the game can begin preloading once you’ve completed your pre-order.

What the Unlock Time Is

Once Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has successfully been preloaded onto your console, you’ll then need to wait until midnight on June 11 in your time zone until you can begin playing the game.

Trying to load up the game prior to this will simply cause an error message to appear on-screen, informing you that you’ll have to wait a little bit longer before you can begin playing. Unfortunately, there is no way around this other than to simply wait.

That’s everything you need to know on what Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s preload and unlock times are. For more on the game, head over to our upcoming wiki, search for Twinfinite, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
