Call of Duty Warzone: Mysterious Door kills numerous players

Call of Duty Warzone

The starting shot for Season 4 of Call of Duty Warzone was only recently fired, which was associated with the release of an extensive update. In addition to numerous innovations and interesting features, however, some inconsistencies or puzzling things have crept into the Battle Royale shooter. This includes, for example, a door that kills players immediately if touched.

You read that right: There are increasing reports from players who have had such a fatal encounter with a certain door in Call of Duty Warzone (now buy 8.90 €) report. This can be found in a large salt mine inside a large building. At first glance, the door looks as inconspicuous as it is harmless. However, if you get too close, your life meter will immediately drop to zero, causing you to die of sudden screen death. Sometimes it is not even necessary to touch the door - the deadly effect also occurs from a certain distance. All of this can also be seen in several videos that numerous players have published as "evidence".

The whole matter, of course, is as mysterious as it is annoying. Especially since it has not yet been clarified whether it is actually "just" an annoying bug or whether there is more to it. Some players are already speculating whether this could possibly be related to the red doors that have recently appeared in Call of Duty Warzone and appear to belong to some kind of fast travel system. In any case, the developers have not yet issued a statement. Have you already made the acquaintance of the "deadly door"? Tell us about it in the comments!

'Call of Duty 2021' WW2 Pacific Map Coming To 'Warzone,' New Details Leak Online

KEY POINTS
  • 'Call of Duty 2021' is the upcoming premium installment of the hit franchise
  • The game is being developed by Sledgehammer Games
  • 'Call of Duty 2021' is reportedly releasing in November 2021
  • Several points of interest (POI) of the supposed 'Call of Duty 2021' WWII Pacific-themed map coming to 'Warzone' were reportedly uncovered recently through a datamining activity.

The latest details about the upcoming map in 'Call of Duty: Warzone' that would release alongside 'Call of Duty 2021' came from dataminer Glitchy. According to them, they have uncovered several locations from the game files following the release of the 'Warzone' Season 4 update. These locations are currently not available in the game but are in the game's files.

This includes Airstrip, Arsenal, Beachhead, Caldera and Capital. They also uncovered locations such as Docks, Farms, Lagoon, Mines, Resort, Radio Station, Sub Pen and Village. Some of these locations sound familiar to most 'Call of Duty' fans while several other names are a direct reference to classic maps in the franchise. For instance, Airfield is from 'World at War.'

The term Subpen is seemingly a nod to the rumored World War II theme of 'Call of Duty 2021.' It could also be a shorthand version for submarine open, which is a bunker that shields submarine from air attacks. This method was widely practiced during the Second World War.

This latest leak has been validated to some extent by various insiders, particularly by Tom Henderson and Nanikos, who have been sharing reliable information in the gaming industry. However, while these files are in the game files, there is nothing solid that directly confirms that these are indeed locations in the rumored 'Call of Duty: Warzone' map.

Earlier reports claimed that Activision would launch a new 'Warzone' map alongside the official release of 'Call of Duty 2021.' The video game publisher reportedly planned the same for 'Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,' unfortunately, things did turn out that way. Rumors have it that the premium 'Call of Duty' title would launch sometime this summer and would release sometime in November 2021.

In the absence of an official confirmation, fans should temper their expectations about these supposed points of interest in the rumored WWII Pacific-themed 'Call of Duty: Warzone' Map. Activision already confirmed that a premium 'Call of Duty' is currently in the works with Sledgehammer Games at the helm.
