PS5: DualSense with drift problems, Sony called to court

PS5

After the problems of drfiting on the analogs that emerged strongly with the Nintendo Switch, some players have reported the presence of the problem also on the DualSense of PlayStation 5. The new and revolutionary PS5 controller had already been the protagonist of a class action move against Sony a few months ago, and apparently, some developments have recently been unveiled that bring forward the delicate issue.

The class action was filed against Sony Interactive Entertainment in February 2021, and claims that the new PS5 DualSense controllers have a flaw that results in an issue that causes characters to move on screen without the player touching the analog stick intended for movement. . The matter seemed to have gone by the wayside, but the law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK & D) recently filed an updated complaint in court.

Everything was carried out together with a series of users involved in the class action, who wrote a letter to be sent directly to the company. Among these users, 6 people said they will make sure the matter can push forward until it reaches the court. At this point, the law firm CSK & D also requested Sony's presence before a judge, so that they could go and discuss the matter in a court.

At the moment the situation on this class action against the pad of PS5 stops at this point, but it is possible that over the weeks the whole will receive some updates. The unexpected thing is that, after the travail caused by drifting on the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, the new PS5 controller also seems to have fallen into a problem that is unfortunately becoming more and more popular.
