Ubisoft: new games affected by the closure of their servers

Ubisoft

Starting this year, the servers for Rainbow Six Vegas, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Rainbow Six Lockdown and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be closed. It was via an update on the status of Ubisoft's servers that a member of ResetEra learned about it and shared the news. Scheduled for this year, the shutdown of the servers is a decision "which is not taken lightly" by Ubisoft which indicates to understand the "probable disappointment" of certain players. This concession allows them to focus more effectively on games with a larger audience.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft had already announced the closure of several servers for old titles. From June 01, Assassin's Creed II, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Far Cry 2, Anno 1404, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, Splinter Cell Conviction, The Settlers 7 and Might & Magic X Legacy will see the curtain.
