CPU-Z is updated by introducing support for future CPUs and memories

The well-known CPU-Z software, used by millions of users around the world to check the technical characteristics of the CPU and other components of their system, as well as providing a fast benchmark tool, has recently been updated to version 1.96, adding, among other things, support for processors and memories not yet available on the market.

Here is the complete changelog:

Preliminary support for Intel Alder Lake CPUs and the Z6xx platform Preliminary support for DDR5 memories Support AMD Ryzen 5700G, 5600G and 5300G APUs Support for AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT, 6800, 6800 XT and 6700 XT GPUs. The preliminary support for future 12th generation Intel CPUs, known by the codename Alder Lake, and DDR5 memory is rather interesting. Recall that the Alder Lake processors will be the first x86 desktop hybrid from the Santa Clara company that will pair high-performance “Big” Golden Cove cores and energy-efficient “Small” Gracemont cores. According to information that has appeared on the net over the past few months, the CPUs will use the new LGA1700 socket and will support both DDR4 and DDR5 memories.

On the AMD front, the Ryzen APUs of the 5000G series currently remain exclusive only for the OEM market, while they should also land on the retail market by the end of the year. As we reported in this previous news, the Ryzen 5000G chips will be equipped with four to eight CPU cores based on the Zen 3 architecture (which offers a consistent improvement in IPC level of up to 19% compared to the previous generation Zen 2) coupled with Integrated Vega-class GPUs. Unfortunately, the limit of support for the PCI Express 3.0 interface remained.

If you are interested in downloading the latest version of the CPU-Z software, you can do it directly from this address.

If you are looking for an SSD with good technical characteristics and RGB lighting, ADATA also offers the 512GB XPG AS40G, which you can buy on Amazon at an unmissable price.
