Assassin's Creed: old characters may return

Assassin's Creed

The ending of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla undoubtedly opened new perspectives for the continuation of the Ubisoft Assassin saga. Despite the somewhat slow pace of the game, the conclusion of the adventure of the Viking Eivor of the Clan del Corvo was nothing short of heart-pounding; but also very thoughtful. If you have not finished the title, we advise you not to continue reading the following article, as (obviously) we will analyze the recent statements of Alain Mercieca, senior writer of Valhalla.

In addition to the Order of the Ancients, the fulcrum cornerstone of the narrative of the last Assassin's Creed concerns the Isu: the evolved civilization that reigned over the world up to 70,000 years (approximately) before the events of the saga. After securing an alliance with all regions of England, Eivor and Sigurd traveled back to Norway to find Valhalla which, in reality, is but a simulation within 'Yggdrasil', a powerful Isu capable machine. to calculate (and therefore predict and examine through simulations) the possible realities.

According to the words of Mercieca, the ending of Assassin's Creed Valhalla could shape in a very particular way all the rest of the story that will connect the latter iteration with future chapters of the Ubisioft saga. In particular, the writer seems to wink at the fate of the characters we have already met in the previous games of the saga, declaring that: "the Valhalla ending opens up new possibilities for old and new characters of Assassin's Creed, even if it is now soon to say how ”.

Obviously at the moment these statements are completely smoky and meaningless, but certainly the curiosity that revolves around the Ubisoft saga is becoming very intense in this period; with fans eager to find out what the direction of the brand will be now that Valhalla has concluded a narrative phase of the series.
