Pokémon: McDonalds now has exclusive trading cards

Pokémon

For the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon series, fans can now look forward to another campaign. In cooperation with McDonald's there will be an exclusive Happy Meal with trading cards for the next few weeks. The campaign started a few days ago in the USA and caused happy meals to be sold out in branches. Behind this is a trend that is currently very popular on the Internet.

Even before the McDonald's trading cards, numerous YouTubers and streamers on Twitch bought year-old card packages with booster packs for tens of thousands of euros / US dollars to then open them together with their viewers. And in the best case scenario, some of these content creators even made a profit in the end. Selected cards from the Pokémon series can also be sold for thousands of dollars. The decisive factor here is the PSA score, which determines the value of a Pokémon trading card.

'Pokémon Go' Thundurus Raids: Counters, Therian Forme and What You Need to Know

a person flying through the air on a cloudy day: Thundurus Therian Forme makes its © Niantic Thundurus Therian Forme makes its 'Pokemon Go' debut in March.

The Season of Legends in Pokémon Go is bringing back a slew of Legendary Pokémon in Raids including Landorus, Tornadus and Thundurus from the Unova region.

Pokémon Go trainers have already battled these Legendaries in the past, but the new season brings new forms for the Unova region trio. The Therian Formes of Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus will arrive in Pokémon Go for the first time.

Thundurus will be the first to receive its new Forme and trainers will also have a chance to catch it in its Shiny form. Continue reading to learn all about Thundurus and how to take the battle and catch it.

POKEMON GO THUNDURUS RAID TIMES

Thundurus will arrive in Raids for two straight weeks. The first will see the Legendary appear in its usual Incarnate forme while the second week will see the debut of its Therian Forme.

  • Normal Thundurus raids will occur from Thursday, March 11 at 8 a.m. to Tuesday, March 16 at 10 a.m. local time.
  • Thundurus Therian Forme will debut starting Tuesday, March 16 at 8 a.m. to Tuesday, March 30 at 10 a.m. local time.
  • POKEMON GO THUNDURUS RAID COUNTERS

Thundurus is an Electric and Flying-type Pokémon making it weak to just Ice and Rock-type attacks.

Like its brothers, Landorus and Tornadus, a strong Ice-type Pokémon will work wonders for teams looking to take down the Legendary. However, since many Ice types are also Water-types, you may want to rethink who you bring into battles as Thundurus will come with its Electric-type attacks that can take out your team.

For that reason, we recommend Ice-type Pokémon who can also resist Thundurus' Electric-type attacks. Rock-type Pokémon often have a Ground typing paired with it, so they can also resist the Legendary's attacks.

Here are a few options to take into battle against Thundurus:

  • Mega Abomasnow with Power Snow and Weather Ball (Ice)
  • Mamoswine with Power Snow and Avalanche
  • Rhyperior with Smack Down and Rock Wrecker
  • Tyranitar with Smack Down and Stone Edge
  • Rampardos with Smack Down and Rock Slide
  • Abomasnow with Powder Snow and Weather Ball (Ice)
  • Weavile with Ice Shard and Avalanche
  • Galarian Darmanitan with Ice Fang and Avalanche
