Gears 5 will soon start its Operation 6, which does not yet have an official date but should arrive soon, bringing with it several new features including three new characters, a new map and a shorter duration scheduled for the seasons.The new Operation 6 should therefore last around 11 weeks, compared to the 16 normally required for previous operations. Furthermore, the new organization also for the next seasons foresees the release of two packs of contents, one at the beginning and one in the middle of the operation, which include at least one map and two new characters.
specifically Operation 6, three new characters are planned to be added to the cast of fighters usable in Gears 5:
Victor Hoffman, the COG Colonel considered a war hero Zealot, the locust born from Ukkon's Imulsion experiments and the physiology of Kantus Queen Reyna, mother of the protagonist Kait Diaz and main leader of the hive-mind that controls the Swarm
The new map is Speyer , of which there are no images yet but is described by The Coalition as a setting characterized by opulent interiors and very large rooms that can be ideal for long-range clashes, but with elements that still require even more close combat. br>
We are therefore waiting to know the release date of Operation 6, while Gears 5 has recently been enriched with the excellent Hivebusters expansion, distributed free with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Gears 5 Operation 6 Kicks Off With Three New Characters And Shorter Seasons
Gears 5 developer The Coalition has dropped new details on its next season of content, titled Operation 6. The latest operation doesn't have a confirmed start date just yet, but the developer did confirm that it will also run shorter than previous events, clocking in at 11 weeks in length as opposed to the longer 16-week format that previous operations ran for.
Each new operation will also see two substantial content drops when a new season begins, one at the start of an operation and another during the middle of the season. Each content drop will contain at least one map and two new characters The Coalition confirmed.
Operation 6 will kick off with three new characters being added: COG hero Colonel Victor Hoffman who currently spends his golden years leading a strike force deep into enemy territory, the Locust Zealot who is the result of Ukkon's experiments with Imulsion and Kantus physiology, and Queen Reyna, mother to Gears 5 protagonist Kait Diaz and the prime conduit to the Swarm hive-mind.
The latest map for Operation 6 is Speyer, which The Coalition describes as having opulent interiors and quaint plazas that are suited to longer-range engagements. Controlling the sanctuary requires winning close-quarters fights while teams must also coordinate with each other to dominate the sprawling academy section.
