The performance of 5G networks and the versatility of a wearable device: this is how Vodafone today presents Nreal Light, a product that will arrive in Europe next year, intended for both consumer and business users. The debut is scheduled for spring 2021 in Germany and Spain, followed by other countries.

Vodafone announces Nreal Light glasses for Europe

These are smart glasses or glasses equipped with capabilities for augmented reality and mixed reality, capable of superimposing images and information on the wearer's field of vision. The official press release speaks of an experience capable of reproducing an IMAX screen. A wired connection (via USB-C) to an Android smartphone for data processing will be required for this to work.

The arrival of a Developer Kit for developers is also expected.



The design of the glasses is handled by Nreal, a startup based in Zhongguancun, a technological hub located in the Haidian district of the city of Beijing.
