On the first day of December alone, when registration on the dedicated website opened, the Customs and Monopolies Agency registered over 472,000 requests. But one month after the official start of the initiative, a possible problem is represented above all by the telematic cash registers that have not yet been updated. Merchants are required to equip themselves with electronic recorders to send daily tax data directly to the Revenue Agency, and the receipt lottery system is also registered on this transfer basis. But according to Confesercenti data, for example, only one in three registrars is currently ready to receive customer data and associate and transmit them in real time to issue the receipt with the virtual tickets valid for the draws.

To underline this delay is also the Custom group, an Italian hi-tech company that since 1992 has been producing integrated and connected technological solutions such as fiscal printers, telematic recorders, pos and management software for traders and businesses. According to what the company reported, according to estimates by the Com ufficio association, to date only 600 thousand recorders are ready for the lottery out of a total of 1,360,000 activated and registered by Sogei, the general IT company controlled by the finances, which also reports that 200,000 businesses still have not adequate their recorders.

Custom, moreover, in Italy has over 350,000 telematic devices installed in commercial businesses and is present in 15 tax markets, is at the forefront in the adaptation of the recorders and provides a remote update. The receipt lottery can also be an opportunity for the merchants themselves, given that in the case of electronic payments, the government has provided prizes for merchants of up to € 5,000 for weekly draws, € 20,000 for monthly draws and up to € 1 million. of euros for the annual draw.
