League of Legends: Riot Games is working on an MMO
After Riot Games presented numerous new projects in or outside the League of Legends universe last year, Greg Street (VP at Riot Games) has now casually revealed on Twitter that the studio is now also working on an MMO . For many years, fans of MOBA have wanted an MMO with the champions from Runeterra. But it will take a while before the game from Riot Games is released.

The tweet from Greg Street shows that developers are currently being sought for the project. A statement from Riot Games PR stated, "Greg's tweet is our only official statement at the time. I can confirm that an MMORPG is being worked on." Just last year, Riot co-founder Marc Merrill revealed in an interview that he would love to work on an MMO - but that project will probably not happen any time soon. The makers of League of Legends now want to take time for the project. In the last few months alone, Riot has released many new games.

These include the card game Legends of Runeterra or the mobile MOBA from League of Legends: Wild Rift, which was recently launched in Europe. With Valorant, the company has already been able to celebrate successes in the FPS area. The first gameplay trailer for Ruined King: A League of Legends Story was recently presented as part of the Game Awards. In parallel with the MMO, Riot Games also seems to be working on a Diablo-like title with Project F. What do you think of a League of Legends MMO? Let us know your opinion in the comments.
