Officially presented by Microsoft in early October after a long series of rumors and indiscretions, the new Surface Laptop Go arrives today in Italy. It is the newborn of the range, a device designed by the Redmond group to meet the needs of those looking for a laptop with a compact size and an affordable price. images The 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with a resolution of 1536 × 1024 pixels (148 ppi) and thin edges surrounding the panel stands out on the technical specifications sheet. Also present a 10th generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 quad core processor flanked by Intel UHD GPU, a maximum of 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of internal eMMC memory or SSD for storage. Among the strengths the battery with declared autonomy that reaches 13 hours.



The hardware is completed by the full size keyboard with large trackpad, fingerprint reader compatible with Windows Hello for the Biometric authentication, a 720p webcam with Studio microphones, Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Audio technology, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack and USB ports (Type-A and Type-C). All this in an aluminum and polycarbonate chassis with dimensions of 278x206x16 mm and a weight of 1.11 kg. On the software side, the operating system is Windows 10 Home in S mode. The Business edition (from 919 euros) integrates instead the Pro edition of the platform.

The new entry of the Surface line can be purchased on the Microsoft Store (link at the end of the article) or on Amazon with prices from 649 euros for the 64 GB Consumer version, but there are also 128 GB editions and 256 GB. For Italy, only Platinum is currently available.
