Ho.Mobile continues to grow its widespread forest

Ho.Mobile, virtual mobile phone operator, in collaboration with Treedom, has planted 1500 trees in six countries around the world to absorb the carbon dioxide emitted by the transport of its SIM cards. Another 100 trees per month will be planted starting in November

The ho.Mobile diffuse forest This is how the ho.Mobile diffuse forest is composed. Coffee trees in Guatemala. Lots of cocoa in Cameroon. Pomegranates in Italy. Not to mention the moringa trees in Tanzania and the acacia mangium trees in Madagascar. Fifteen hundred trees that are thriving right now. And to find out all about them, just visit the ho-mobile.it/mettiamoradici page dedicated to the ho.Mobile forest.

There are those who confess to green without doing anything to reduce their ecological footprint. And there are those who think of leaving the planet at least in the same way they found it. Among the various eco-friendly actions, planting trees is an operation that has a dual and benevolent purpose. On the one hand, it responds to ho.Mobile's intent to absorb the more than 210,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide emitted by the transport of its Sims. On the other hand, that of Treedom to finance communities of farmers.

Treedom, the first web platform in the world to allow you to plant a tree remotely and follow its history online, in fact, supports the work of farmers in the first years, when the trees are not yet productive. A choice of plants that is made together with the farmers themselves. A design that starts from the construction of the nursery and follows the evolution of the plant step by step (including the replacement of failures) up to the assignment to the tree of a unique ID with its inclusion in a public register.

Ho.Mobile's communication for the reforestation project These two objectives, those of ho.Mobile and Treedom, generate cascading benefits. Not only environmental, but also social and economic. Reforestation protects biodiversity, but also helps to combat soil erosion and desertification. It fights poverty by supporting rural communities which, thanks to fruit trees, can have greater food resources and also the opportunity to increase their income.

Currently, thanks to individual supporters and companies that believed in the project, Treedom has planted almost one and a half million trees for a total of 415 million kilograms of CO 2 absorbed. An operation that involved more than 85,000 farmers in 17 countries around the world, including Italy.

It is really curious what can be hidden behind a SIM thanks to the green awareness of ho.Mobile. Finally, to prove its ecological coherence, and to absorb the carbon dioxide emissions produced also in the coming months, ho.Mobile will continue to plant 100 trees per month, starting as early as November.
