Free video calls for up to 24 hours with Teams
With the holidays approaching and the need to continue to respect the distancing impositions, many will rely on digital platforms in the coming period to stay in touch with loved ones, family and friends. Microsoft is well aware of this: today the announcement of a novelty linked to Teams that aims to satisfy this need, the possibility of making long free video calls.

24 hours of non-stop greetings with Teams

How long? Much, so much so that hardly anyone will be able to reach the maximum limit of 24 hours. It will be possible to involve up to 300 people (for larger families), showing the other participants on a grid with a maximum of 49 faces at the same time or in one of the many scenarios proposed by Together Mode to feel close at least in the virtual context.

Only the organizer of the meeting will have to login with their Microsoft account, after which they will be able to share the link generated with others to allow them to join the group without entering any credentials, simply by opening it.

The Redmond group is investing heavily in Teams, so as to meet the expectations of the many who in recent months have chosen to rely on the service to work from home in smart working, to follow the lessons of distance learning or more simply to communicate remotely. At the end of October, there were 115 million active users every day, 53% more than in April. Among the other innovations recently introduced for this purpose we point out the compatibility with third-party applications, the adoption of Fluent Design for the interface and surveys. Multi-account support will also arrive in December.
